Heidi Gygax Garland grew up around the gaming industry as the third child of E. Gary Gygax. From a young age, Heidi worked for TSR at Gen Con game conventions, and later full time at TSR in the Gen Con department, at the Dungeon Hobby Shop, and Marketing. After 30+ years in Hawaii working as an executive for a large jewelry manufacturer and retailer, Heidi and her husband Erik Gygax Garland collaborate on gaming adventures that are published under GAXLAND (www.Gaxland.com).

"Yes, my middle name is actually Gygax.
Erik Garland retired in 2023 from his tenure as Chief Information Officer for a small healthcare group in Kentucky. A professional firearms instructor and ARMY veteran, he carefully concealed a secret identity as a lifelong enthusiast of comic books, fantasy and science fiction media, and table-top role playing games.
In 2015, Erik attended his first Gary Con where he met tbe lovely Heidi Gygax. They became friends and a relationship developed over the years. They married at a private ceremony on a Hawaiian beach in 2023. Their two daughters, Amelie and Zoe were in attendance, as was a giant wedding-crashing sea turtle.
